Google Ads

Google Ads management for home service companies

Search ads let you choose exactly which jobs you pay for, with control over keywords, hours, locations and landing pages. We build campaigns around high-intent service searches, cut wasted spend every week, and measure success in calls and booked jobs, not clicks.

Free audit. No obligation. You keep the findings either way.

Common problems

What we usually find in a Google Ads audit

Broad keywords burning budget

Searches for DIY, jobs, parts and free estimates in other states, all paid for.

Everything in one campaign

Emergency repairs and high-ticket installs fighting over one budget and one set of bids.

Clicks counted as conversions

Page views and button taps reported as leads, so bidding optimizes for the wrong thing.

Ads sent to the home page

Visitors land on a general page and leave instead of calling.

What is included

Everything in Google Ads management

Account structure by service

Campaigns split by service and margin, so emergency repairs, planned installs and high-ticket projects each get their own budget and bids.

Keywords and negatives

Buying-intent keywords, weekly search-term reviews and negative lists for job seekers, DIY, parts, cheap and out-of-area searches.

Location and schedule

Targeting by ZIP code, postcode or radius that matches where you work, with ads scheduled to the hours your phones are covered.

Ads and assets

Responsive search ads that state your service area, licensing and what makes you different, plus call, location and sitelink assets.

Landing pages

A dedicated page per service campaign with your phone number, a short form and trust details, and nothing that pulls visitors away.

Conversion tracking

Calls from ads, calls from the website and form leads, plus offline conversion imports from your CRM where possible, so bidding learns from booked jobs.

Bidding strategy

Manual or automated bidding chosen on how much conversion data you have, not by default.

Account ownership

The ad account sits in your name and you keep it, including all data and history. TODO-confirm

Weekly search term reviews, bid and budget changes, and ad copy tests.

  4. Month 3 onward

Measurement

How we measure Google Ads

  • Calls and form leads by campaign and keyword
  • Cost per lead and cost per booked job
  • Search terms added as negatives each month
  • Impression share lost to budget and rank

A good fit if

  • You want leads quickly while SEO builds
  • You have high-value services that Local Services Ads does not cover well
  • You can track which leads turn into booked jobs

Probably not a fit if

  • Your budget cannot produce enough clicks to learn from in your market (we tell you in the audit)

Red flags when hiring a Google Ads agency

Use this list on any agency, including us.

  • Charges a percentage of spend with no cap and no clear reason
  • Reports clicks and impressions instead of calls and leads
  • Runs the account in its own name
  • Never shows you the search terms you paid for

FAQ

Google Ads questions

Should I run Google Ads or Local Services Ads?

Local Services Ads charge per lead and sit at the very top, but you have limited control over which searches trigger them. Google Ads charge per click and give you full control over keywords, ad copy and landing pages. For many trades the answer is Local Services Ads for core jobs and Google Ads for high-value services LSA does not cover well, such as specific remodels or window replacement.

How much should I spend on Google Ads?

It depends on cost per click in your trade and market and on how many leads you can handle. We give you a realistic starting budget for your area in the audit rather than a generic minimum.

How quickly will Google Ads produce leads?

Campaigns can go live within days of approval. Expect the first 30 to 60 days to be a learning period while we remove wasted search terms and collect conversion data.

Will you use my existing account?

Yes, if you have one. We audit it first. Keeping the history is usually better than starting over.
